Recently, over 90 guests attended SI Tenby’s annual charity fashion show, held at the Heywood Spa Hotel. The purpose of the event was to raise funds for Tenovus which is one of SI Tenby president Iris Davies’s selected charities during her year of office.

The show was sponsored by the prestigious fashion outlet ‘Ededa J’, based in Newcastle Emlyn. The generous co-operation of the management and staff ensured that all enjoyed a delightful evening. Firstly, the guests enjoyed a dazzling display of the latest in fashion. The glamorous models, all members of staff at Edida J, showcased a wide range of leisurewear, accessories and outdoor apparel.

Next there was a short interval when everyone partook of the hotel’s delicious canapés, accompanied by a glass of wine or a soft drink. The raffle was then drawn. Thanks to the generosity of local businesses, as well as donations from club members, there was a magnificent array of prizes, tempting most guests to purchase a large number of tickets.

The show then continued with an impressive display of evening and occasion clothing, including some wonderful hats and fascinators. All items were available in styles to suit every age and taste.

President Iris would like to thank all those who helped to make the event such a success, particularly the staff, Meinir, Ffion, Elin and other models from Ededa J, Paul and his staff at the Heywood Spa Hotel and Tim from ‘Behind the Lens Media’ who provided all the event photography. Special thanks must also be given to SI Tenby social secretary Pam Maggs for all her hard work in organising and promoting the event.

All agreed that it had been a very pleasant and worthwhile way to spend a rainy spring evening and, most importantly, the evening raised a significant amount for Tenovus.
