There are still some places left for part-time computing and office courses starting next week at Tenby Community Centre and a range of leisure, business, marine and self development courses in Haverfordwest and Milford Haven.

"There has been a good response to our course offer in Tenby," said Brenda Jones, the centre manager for Pembrokeshire College, "but we still have a few places on each course at various levels starting next week."

For people who want a good foundation in IT skills, there are day or evening classes to learn about Microsoft Office Word, Access Database and Excel spreadsheets, or file management, email and how to use the internet.

If your level of IT competence is good, then there's either an ECDL Stage 2 course on a Thursday evening or an Executive IT course during the day to choose from.

The ECDL Stage 2 course is an internationally recognised qualification in word processing, spreadsheets, databases and Powerpoint that is relevant for home or office use.

Executive IT is designed for anyone who would like to pursue a career in administration and is held on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9.30 am until 3.30 pm. It covers a large range of office skills, including text and word processing, audio transcription and computerised accounts. There's also help and advice about searching for jobs and interview techniques. And because Executive IT is classed as a full-time course, it is FREE.

Other courses include Level 2 Book Keeping on Wednesday afternoon and Level 3 ECDL Advanced on Tuesday - with Word Processing in the morning and Presentations in the afternoon.

For an informal discussion about any of the courses, call Brenda on 01437 753 008.
