On Friday 14, a snowdrop walk and coffee morning was held at the home of Carole and Gwynne Llewellyn, Lower Masterland, Broadmoor, in order to raise funds for the Tenby Talking Newspaper.

This little-known group meets every Friday on a five-weekly rota in order to record edited highlights of the Tenby Observer. When recording is complete, it is copied onto discs which are then posted to blind and partially-sighted people who have an interest in Tenby and, post willing, they are received the following morning while the news is still fresh.

Most discs go to local addresses, though some go much further afield to those who have moved away from the area.

The recordings are made by volunteers and the postage is free, but there are some expenses to be met in purchasing and maintaining recording equipment, and the discs.

The snowdrop walk was a delightful ramble through the woods around Carole and Gwynne's home and guests then enjoyed coffee and home-made treats. A total of £120 was raised.
