Tomorrow (Saturday) the Sealed Knot visit Tenby for a scripted battle re-enactment of the 17th century English Civil War on the resort's picturesque North Beach.
The itinerary is as follows: 1.30 pm Assemble in North Beach car park; 1.35 pm Proceed through town to Tudor Square; 1.50 Make proclamations; 2 pm Proceed down through harbour onto North Beach; 2.10 Espy and engage opposition on beach; 3 pm End skirmish and return to North Beach car park, then to main camp in Carew.
During the skirmish there will be firing of muskets and cannon, flashing blades of swords and lining up of pikes, accompanied by drums and bugle calls. There will also be an expert PA commentary accompaniment.
It all promises an exciting afternoon of historical activity, highly visible and (from a safe distance) accessible.
