An urgent meeting is to be called between members of Narberth Town Council and Pembrokeshire County Council to discuss the feasibility of opening a skateboarding site in the area.

Members of the council agreed at their last meeting to write a letter in support of the town's skaters club to the county council suggesting an area be set aside at the back of the Town Moor car park.

This could have a lockable metal container with ramps which could be taken out in the morning and put away safely at night.

However, the county council were opposed to the suggestion on the grounds of safety of the skaters and loss of parking spaces.

As a result, members of the town council proposed a site meeting to discuss the matter further, when they met for their monthly meeting this week.
