The arrests were made as a result of a protracted and co-ordinated operation, conducted by the Serious and Organised Crime Team in Dyfed Powys Police, where a total of one kilo of cocaine was recovered in the operation.
The team had been conducting an investigation into the trafficking of substantial quantities of Class A drugs, namely cocaine, into the Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and the South Wales areas.
Thirty-one-year-old Thomas Charles Salmon, of Llanmill, Narberth, and 28-year-old Greg Ian McKenzie, of Blaenwaun, Whitland, were remanded in custody following the hearing at Llanelli, along with 41-year old David James Lloyd Evans, of St. Clears, 55-year-old Jenkin Anthony Davies, of Cynwyl Elfed, Carmarthen, 57-year-old David Campbell and 30-year-old Richard Andrew Houghton, both from the Merseyside area.
The six men will appear at Swansea Crown Court on Friday, April 4, for a preliminary hearing.
DI Huw Davies said:"This is a significant amount of drugs that has been recovered. Tackling class A drugs is a priority for the police and those who bring such drugs into the force will be relentlessly targeted."
