LOCAL singer/songwriter Julia Jones returns to the area where she spent her early childhood performing 'Blondie' cover versions, with a concert at the Queen's Hall, Narberth, this month.
Pembrokeshire born Julia has not had an easy ride in fulfilling her musical ambitions, having quit her job and upped roots to fund her debut album, which she began recording in a New York studio with her co-producer, George Howard, in April 2003.
The album, entitled '809', is a selection of her material written over the last few years and showcases the performer's unique talents.
The song 'Superfast', which is taken from the album, has already made it onto the BBC Radio Wales playlist.
'809' is available from Dales Records in Tenby and Nobles and Utopia in Narberth or through the website http://www.juliajones.com">www.juliajones.com.
Profits from the album's sales are going towards raising money for the Ty Hafan Children's Hospice in Cardiff.
If you would like to catch Julia performing live before she returns to the USA for a tour, she will be appearing at the Queen's Hall in Narberth next Saturday, February 21.
The gig starts at 8 pm and tickets are priced at £10, with bookings and further information available by 'phoning 01834 861212.
