Pembrokeshire football clubs, Clarbeston Road and Kilgetty have become the first to qualify for the Club Accreditation Silver level award.
These two clubs were among a select few in Pembrokeshire who embarked upon this prestigious scheme some 18 months ago. Starting with the Bronze level, the scheme looks to enhance all aspects of the club structure.
Working in close partnership with FAW football development officer, Gerry Rigby, the clubs have increased levels of coaching expertise, first aid, child protection, girls and women's provision, and in some cases, developing a disability football section.
Relevant, increased equipment stocks, and a more efficient streamlined administration process have been just some of the advantages gained. All the participating clubs have recorded increased levels of membership.
The Silver level seeks to raise standards again, ensuring that the participating clubs go from strength to strength in future years.
