The Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Service for Wales successfully launched a new clinic at Tenby Cottage Hospital last Friday, where patients suffering from diabetes will now be able to receive regular diabetic eye screening. The opening of the new clinics in parts of Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire is part of the National Assembly for Wales' Eye Care Initiative. "We hope the community based service will encourage people to attend the screenings, as a simple eye test can mean the difference between losing or retaining your sight," said service director, Rosemarie Keigwin-Harris.
