A NATIVE of Narberth is taking on a charity challenge where she will cycle 550km in three different cities, over four days, in memory of her brother.
Sian-Elin Davies, formerly of Narberth, who now resides in Switzerland, is raising funds for Brain Tumour UK in memory of her brother Kevin Davies, who was a very popular player at Narberth RFC, and played cricket for a variety of Pembrokeshire cricket clubs, who unfortunately lost his battle with a brain tumour a couple of years ago, at the age of 35.
Sian, who still has family in Narberth, will be taking part in the '3 cities challenge' which will cover - London, Amsterdam and Brussels, at the end of August, and will see her cycle 550km in four days
"Last year I took on the Nightrider 100k and raised an amazing £2,800 for charity thanks to all my lovely family, friends and colleagues," said Sian.
"This year, the challenge had to be bigger! So it was time to put away the skies, hang up the après boots, dust off the bike and get in some serious cycle miles in the Swiss mountains. I can almost feel the saddle sore just thinking about it!
"Once again, I will be raising money for The Brain Tumour Charity, which provides support, funding and research, and raises awareness of this horrible cancer," she added.
