Eighty Year Six pupils from Pembroke Dock Community School enjoyed a 'Shuttles Festival' at Pembroke Leisure Centre with Badminton Wales development co-ordinator Phil Gwyther and a supporting team of five junior players from the local club.

They took part in a range of hectic games and skills challenges, before being presented with a certificate for their efforts.

Badminton is one of some very successful school 5 x 60 sports clubs which now take place at Pembroke School and many of those Year Six pupils are now eagerly anticipating taking part when they move to the comprehensive school in September.

The players assisting for the day were Ben Richards, Samantha Bowen, Ellie Wilson, Rebecca Jones and Foy Idema-Trehan.
