Last Friday evening, Reynalton Short Mat Bowls Club held their annual dinner at the Manian Lodge, Begelly. It was also the occasion when the Ethel Barber Cup was presented to the successful winner. The cup had been donated by Geoff Barber in memory of his late wife, a previous member of the club. In his address, the captain, David White, remarked on the happy times they had had in the past year. He thanked Mrs. Amy Redd for organising the meal and John Watson for controlling their finances. He also congratulated John Tunster on being this year's Short Mat Bowls president, also Barbara Watson for her success in winning the Ethel Barber Cup.
