An evening of 'fun', as well as bowls, was recently enjoyed at a 'thank you' event at St. John's Community Hall Short Mat Bowling Club, Pembroke Dock.
The event was organised so members could say thank you to various companies for their donations of funds towards the club's purchase of an electric mat winder.
Donations were made by South Hook LNG, Llanion Communities First and Main Port Engineering.
The evening was attended by Laura Allen-Clarke, community liaison co-ordinator for South Hook LNG, chair Sue Perkins and Christine Gwyther for Llanion Communities First and St. John's Community Hall trustees Anne Scott and Iona Thomas.
They were able to witness the benefits of the electric mat winder machine, as well as take part in a game and enjoy refreshments with club members.
Unable to attend were representatives from Main Port Engineering.
Club secretary Nicola Durnford expressed the club's sincere thanks to the companies concerned.
