It’s been another remarkable season for the Modern Print Inclusive Target Shooting Club.

The club, which is now based at new premises at Kilgetty Community Centre, includes both sighted and visually impaired members.

Angela Miles, disability sports development officer for Pembrokeshire County Council, recently attended the club to present awards won by three members who competed in the West Kent Rifle League over the winter, which consists of 24 divisions.

The awards were presented to Laurie Brown, who won gold in Division 3, Ron Hovell, who won gold in Division 5 and junior Anthony Triebel, who won gold in Division 14 - in his first competition in the club.

Angela said: “For such a small club to win three divisions out of 24 is a great achievement.”

She added that the membership list is open for everyone, young and old, disabled or non-disabled.

The club recently hosted a friendly shoot with the Tondu Club from Bridgend at their new venue, and a visit from John Lloyd from the National Small Bore Rifle Association.

The club is open every Tuesday from 2-9 pm. For further details, please contact Ron on 07971 170852.
