A team of runners from Narberth and the surrounding area are participating in the Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday, to raise awareness and funds for the charity (TCT), the Teenage Cancer Trust, which has a dedicated ward based in the Heath Hospital, Cardiff.
The Narberth fund-raisers, named 'Shelley's Runners', will be taking up the challenge in memory of Shelley-Louise Harries from Narberth, who despite her courage and bravery, sadly lost her battle against cancer earlier this year.
The team of 25 runners, made up of family and friends of Shelley, will be donning vivid pink t-shirts on race day, in memory of Shelley's bright and vivacious personality.
The runners are urging everyone to support this great cause, as brilliantly as everyone supported Shelley and her family throughout the past 12 months.
Some of the team taking part in the marathon include - Andrew Jenkins, Paul Davies, Nigel Davies, Chris Helps, Kim Bevan, Sam Ings, Shelley Morris, Charlene Morris, Melanie Pallas, Tina Thomas, Rhian Mathias, Rhian Protheroe, Daniel Morgan, Gareth Rowe and Paul Gwyther.
