Education is on-going. Had a look in one of my dictionaries and looked at 'Fetish'. It could be 'a material object believed among primitive cultures to have magical power' or 'an object, principle or the like that receives unreasonably excessive attention or reverence'.
The old lifeboat house appears to have taken on a new role - the shrine of fetishists.
Look at the definitions and the old lifeboat house is a shed, neither revered nor worthy of worship. If the shed fetishists want to remove it and rebuild it elsewhere as its final shrine, please hurry before it rots.
