Councillors in Tenby are to meet with Pembrokeshire County Council’s senior traffic engineer next week for a site meeting at Serpentine Road to try and find a solution to ongoing parking and traffic issues in the vicinity.

The town clerk Andrew Davies told members of the town council at their meeting on Tuesday night that PCC’s Ben Blake, had agreed to meet with councillors to look at ways of alleviating concerns over dangerous parking in and around the area of Tudor Way and its junction with Heywood Lane, near Serpentine Road, during the mornings and afternoons, when children were being dropped-off or collected from schools.

Councillors agreed to meet on Thursday, November 7, in the afternoon before 3 pm, when the area will be at its busiest for traffic, at the end of the school day.

The findings of the meeting will be fed back to PCC’s director for children and schools, Mrs. Kate Evan-Hughes, and head of highways and construction Darren Thomas as all parties try and come up with a solution.
