This weekend saw a Senior Cadet promotion board for the South West Area Sea Cadets, which covers the South West England and South and West Wales. The board covers uniform standards, ceremonial, drill instruction, lesson delivery, interview and knowledge. The board was overseen by Commander Clive Smith Royal Navy, who is the Training Manager for the South West Area.

Tenby Unit sent two cadets to undertake the pinnacle cadet rate of Petty Officer Cadet. They travelled to HMS Raleigh, Cornwall to undertake the board. Leading Cadet Adam and Luke successfully passed the Petty Officer Cadet Board and becoming the most senior cadets not only in Tenby Unit for many years but are two of only three currently in West Wales District!

Lieutenant (SCC) William Elliott RNR, the Commanding Officer said: “I am extremely proud of the hardwork and determination that the now Petty Officer Cadet Adam and Luke put into being able to reach this point. This is a fantastic achievement and all those connected to the Unit are very proud of you both!”
