Narberth town councillors held a secret ballot to elect a member to the governing board of the town's primary school.

Current representative, Clr. Colin Williams was proposed to continue in the post by Clr. Owain Martin and seconded by Clr. Mrs. Angela Walker.

However, the town's Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Rees, indicated her interest in standing.

She was proposed by Clr. Wynne Evans, who was seconded by Clr. Val Bradley.

As a result, a vote was taken, with Clr. Williams winning 6-4.

The re-nomination of Clr. Malcolm Connah to the governing body of Templeton CP School went unchallenged.
