Tenby took to the field, on a bright, but icy cold day, led out by skipper Michael Lewis for this friendly encounter with Haverfordwest.

Tenby opened the scoring after superb interplay between backs and forwards took them up to the visitors' 10, allowing scrum-half Will Crockford to find a gap and race through to score. Calvert Jones, playing his first game in Tenby colours, easily converted.

After a large amount of pressure on the Tenby line, the visitors were next to score after driving their way over.

Calvert restarted and after hard work from the Tenby pack the Seasiders found themselves camped in the Haverfordwest 22, but unable to break through some hard tackles.

Eventually, though, Gavin Nicholas drove through to set up quick ruck ball, from which Neil Duffy scored out wide, with Calvert again converting.

Before the half ended, Peter James was taken off due to injury and replaced by Russ Milnes. Other half-time changes saw Oliver Brace come on at scrum-half for Will Crockford, who slotted in on the wing for Matt Broadhurst, while John Halett and Ben Diment were swapped for Mike Evans and Harry Bolton in the back row and Simon Griffiths, took over from Hartland in the centre.

Tenby started the second half the same as the first, with good runs down the wing from James Picton and Mark Brace, which enabled Brace to break through for his side's third try.

Haverfordwest seemed to wake up after this and battled their way to the Tenby line, which their scrum-half crossed to make the score 19-10.

The back row continued to battle hard and got their reward when after some solid runs from Bolton he crossed under the sticks.

Haverfordwest again came back, attacking deep into the Tenby half, before a stray kick was intercepted by Will Crockford, who managed to beat the cover defence to the corner.

Nicky Guymer was brought on for the last 10 minutes at hooker.

The final try was scored by number eight Nick Roch when an attempted clearance kick was charged down and touched down under the posts.
