Kilgetty Cricket Club will be holding a meeting in the near future, so that the feasibility of introducing a second senior team in 2005 can be considered. "At present we are having quite a few requests to set up another side, but are yet to be convinced that we will have enough support," said club secretary, Rose Jenkins. "We have received a grant from Communities First Trust Fund, which enabled us to purchase mobile nets, a scoresheet, crease marker and helmets. These items were grant aided with the expectation that we will entice more young adults to play cricket, thereby enabling us to field two senior teams." Everyone interested in playing cricket, or helping with any aspect of administration, pitch maintenance, coaching etc. is very welcome to attend the meeting, details of which will be available shortly.
