On Sunday, November 2, Amroth and District Coast Care Group met for their second beach clean-up, this time on the New Inn part of the beach.
Fifteen volunteers turned up in good spirit, and again it was a lovely afternoon. The task was a little more demanding, as there is a very high tide line which collects lots of debris, particularly in trees surrounding the stream.
Nineteen black bags of litter were filled, comprising of lots of plastic bottles, bottle tops, polystyrene, rope, but also part of a fridge and a lump of asbestos.
The next clean-up is planned for Wiseman's Bridge in early January, and all help would be much appreciated. There will be posters with further information.
Amroth Coastcare Group is supported by Keep Wales Tidy through the Welsh Assembly Government-funded Tidy Towns project.
