Staff and governors of Saundersfoot CP School were delighted recently to be awarded the Investors In People Award for the second time. IIP assessor Mr. John Jones visited the school to present the plaque to headteacher, Miss Helen Lester, and to also give feedback to all staff involved in the process. His report praised "the enthusiasm and liveliness of all the staff and their commitment to developing professionally, so as to improve the education of children in their care." The "excellent leadership qualities of the headteacher" were commented upon, along with her "skill and dedication in creating a forward thinking and reflective staff." Mr. Jones praised the "commitment and professional skills of the deputy headteacher in creating an exceptionally effective staff development programme." Governors of the school were also given a special mention. They were described in the report as an "extremely supportive and involved governing body, who continue to place staff development at the top of their priority list". Headteacher Miss Lester would like to thank all staff and governors for their hard work and commitment to the school.
