As many people will already know, Tenby Round Table host two of the famous Summer Spectaculars each year, raising monies for local and national charities.

Following on from the success of these, they are now also staging a winter event, an annual Beer Festival at the town's De Valence Pavilion.

The first such festival was held last year and, following the success of this inaugural event, the doors are about to be thrown open for a second one this weekend.

The two-day event - today (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday) - is this year being sponsored by Templeton Beer Wine and Spirit Co. and, in conjunction with their own West Wales Beer Guide, the beers will be exclusively Welsh, with Welsh (and some English) ciders.

A selection of wines and soft drinks will also be available to help quench thirsts, while live music will be provided throughout the event, as well as a hog roast to feed the hungry.

Opening times are Friday 7 pm - 12 midnight and Saturday 12 noon to 12 midnight.

Cost of entry is £5, to include three beer tokens, a complimentary glass and tasting notes, while beer tokens will be available at £1.50 thereafter, or £1.25 for 40 or more purchased.

It promises to be another entertaining event, so why not go along and raise your own glass in aid of charity. Cheers!
