Visitors and locals alike will now be able to enjoy the sea air in Saundersfoot by sitting on new seats in the centre of the village.
The seats, which will be sited at the Sensory Gardens, were formally received by the village's community council at a presentation ceremony on Friday.
Two of the seats are in memory of people who loved the village, respected resident Raymond Craig, who grew up in Saundersfoot and worked for many years on the Harbour, and Mrs. Christine John, from Hereford, who spent many happy times in the area.
Their families were among those who attended the ceremony, when two other seats were donated by local organisations - the Friends of Saundersfoot, who actively keep an eye on environmental issues and the Saundersfoot Historical Society, which was formed in 1991 and has gone from strength to strength under the leadership of Mr. Don Johns.
Since the community council took over the gardens just over a year ago, a tremendous amount of work has taken place, thanks to Mr. Brian Harries and Mr. Graham Brace, with assistance from the Harbour staff.
Said chairman of the community council, Clr. Mrs. Rosemary Hayes: "We have been very pleased with the improvements that have been made since the community council took over the gardens from Pembrokeshire County Council and we hope these four seats will help the public enjoy this pleasant area in the centre of the village."
