APPEARING at St. James' Church, Manorbier, on Saturday, December 8, will be the Lynx Brass Quintet, based in Malvern and led by former Greenhill student Chris Lewis.

Chris is head of brass at Malvern College, and head of music at its Junior School.

The quintet, which has a wide musical repertoire from classical to contemporary, has performed for the BBC on several occasions and can be heard on the BBC Hereford and Worcester Christmas CD.

Lynx Brass members are Chris Lewis and John Butson (trumpets), Hazel Whitefoot (French horn), Philip Cowley (trombone) and Bob Williams (tuba). They will be playing in a concert of seasonal music in the church in aid of the Manorbier Church Restoration Fund.
