With Wales’ superstar footballer Gareth Bale still with a chance of getting his hands on the Champions League trophy next month, soccer fans in Pembrokeshire will also be presented with a chance of getting close to the cup as it continues its tour of the country with a seaside stop in Tenby on Sunday.

The First Minister for Wales Carwyn Jones and football legend Ian Rush both recently travelled to the UEFA headquarters to officially receive the trophy and bring it to Wales, where it will stay until it is claimed by the winners of the final, which will be played at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday, June 3.

As part of the countdown to the final, the iconic silverware will be on display at a public event at Tenby’s South Beach car park between 10 am and 2 pm on Sunday, as part of the Football Association of Wales’s ‘UCL Trophy Experience’ tour.See next Friday's Observer for news on how you could win a family ticket for four to watch the Women’s Champions League Final at the Cardiff City Stadium on Thursday, June 1.
