Local rescue services and police units carried out a search of the River Cleddau for a missing man and woman on Friday afternoon.

Both aged 72, they were from a nursing home in the Houghton area of Neyland.

Among those involved in the search, which was launched at approximately 3.20 pm, were Angle RNLI lifeboat and the inshore craft, Dale, Broadhaven and St. Govan's Coastguards and South Pembs. sector manager

The casualties were eventually located by police dog units.
