International casting director Jeremy Zimmermann is searching for a young actor to play the young Dylan Thomas in a new feature film about the life and times of the great Welsh poet. "This is an amazing opportunity for a young boy to play a Welsh hero in this exciting new production," said Jeremy, casting director on over 100 feature films, including Keeping Mum, Heidi, Hellboy and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. He is looking for a nine to 12-year-old with a genuine Welsh accent for the role. An open casting will take place at the Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff from 1 to 6 pm tomorrow (Saturday) and from 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday. "Budding actors should just turn up and we'll coach them through the audition. It'll be a fun day and a great experience!" said Jeremy. Filming will begin in Laugharne on March 5 for seven weeks.
