Actor Kimberley Nixon, best known for her television performances in Fresh Meat and Hebburn, gave specialist workshops to students from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama’s Young Actors Studio at Pembrokeshire College last week.

During the workshops, Kim gave advice on acting specifically for camera: students were filmed using camera on a tripod and a large TV screen so they could see themselves and their work in progress.

The Young Actors Studio Pembrokeshire offers sessions for both acting courses and theatre workshops every Saturday, at Pembrokeshire College. The Young Actors Studio Pembrokeshire launched in April 2014 with the support of Valero, the region’s most significant employer.

The focus of the Royal Welsh College Young Actors Studio is on actor training, coupled with training to support young people into specialist drama courses and other quality higher education destinations. All the training is delivered by professional actors, directors, choreographers and industry professionals from both theatre and television.
