LAST week saw local artist Doug Perry teaching the art of screen printing at Tenby Museum and Art Gallery. Doug, who has recently had an exhibition of his art at the museum, has been screen printing for over 50 years, having worked in London as a silkscreen artist. The 'Meet the Artist' day gave visitors the opportunity to try their hand at creating a picture from pre-cut stencils, designed and prepared by Doug. Collections manager Mark Lewis and administrative officer Thelma Mort also enjoyed the day, with Mark stating: "Doug is such a talented and knowledgeable man and it was an enjoyable experience to learn this art. We hope that Doug will undertake another such a day at the museum in the very near future."
