NARBERTH ATH. 46 pts. LLANGENNECH ATH. 21

This proved something of a 'game of two halves', with the Narberth second string dominating the opening period and then relaxing a little to allow the visitors back into it in the second half.

In fact, when the half-time whistle sounded, the impressive Otters had built themselves a formidable 34-point lead.

There was no way back from that for the brave Llangennech side, but they were certainly not going to lie down and fought back in determined fashion to finally run up a total of 21 points themselves.

Outside-half Scott Penney was the star for Narberth, accumulating a personal tally of 26 points with two tries, five conversions and two penalties.

Other touchdowns for the Otters came from centre Tevita Manesitava, flanker John Bowen, lock Emyr Davies and scrum-half Richard Morris.

In reply, the visitors ran in three tries, through outside-half Justin Williams, centre Wayne Bassett and substitute fly-half Jeremy Phillips.

Robert Key slotted over two conversions and Eifion Howells was successful with one.

Flanker John Bowen was nominated the Narberth man-of-the-match for an outstanding all round performance.
