Scott Quinnell, former rugby player for Wales and Llanelli, spoke about dyslexia and the benefits of going through the Dore Programme to a large audience at a recent presentation at Haverfordwest Cricket Club. The presentation was organised by Pembrokeshire Dyslexia Association as a Dyslexia Awareness event. Scott gave an insight to his early life in school struggling with learning because of his dyslexia. When his own children showed signs of the same difficulties, he looked for ways to help. The Dore Programme is a drug-free, individually tailored programme of exercises to stimulate the cerebellum to alleviate the symptoms of dyslexia, allowing sufferers to reach their potential as learners. Scott went through the Dore Programme with his children and saw a great improvement in his own learning abilities and skills. A book about his life, rugby and struggles 'The Hardest Test', written by Scott, has recently been published.
