Pembrokeshire Classic Car Club will again be organizing their popular Classic Car Show at Scolton Manor, Haverfordwest, on Sunday, June 3. All types of classic vehicles will be on display including cars, motor cycles, tractors , commercial vehicles , military vehicles and also a display of rally cars courtesy of Teifi Valley Motor club. Approximately 500 entries will be on show from England, Wales and hopefully some from Ireland.
Besides the vehicles to be admired, there are other attractions for all the family to be enjoyed. These include children’s fairground rides, face painter, model display by West Wales Model Boats. Also there will be both craft and trade stalls, an auto jumble and car boot sale.
Charity stalls will be in attendance and Pembrokeshire Classic Car Club will be running a pre drawn raffle with tickets attached to programmes on sale throughout the day at the entrance and around the showground. No need to wait, just head to the secretaries marquee to see if you have won!
No need to go hungry on the day either as there will be hot & cold food on sale, hot and cold drinks, ice cream and a variety of other food outlets.
Also in attendance will be St. Johns Ambulance to give necessary medical cover.
Besides the attractions there is also Scolton Manor and the grounds to explore if you have the time.
The Club now has a membership of over one hundred and twenty, and with their help a tremendous amount of work is put in to prepare and run the show. Last year an attendance by approximately 4000 members of the public enabled the club to donate a record £8500 to local charities. It is hoped to better that figure this year, with the support from RH Specialist vehicle insurance, the public, entrants, local business’s who advertise in the programme, stallholders, and car booters, who all add to a successful show.
Charities to benefit from this years show are The Paul Sartori Foundation, Diabetes Wales Cymru and The Wales Air Ambulance.
In conjunction with the show, Celtic Charity Classic Tours will be holding a classic car run on the day preceding the show Saturday, June 2, starting from Scolton at 11am and covering approximately 60 miles. The entry for this is £5 per car with proceeds going to The Seb Jenkins Little People appeal
The show is open to the public on the Sunday at 10.30 am and finishes at 4 pm. So come along to Scolton Manor on the B4329 Haverfordwest to Cardigan Road to have an enjoyable ’Classic’ Weekend.
