A meeting to discuss the future of two Tenby schools was held this week, with proposals such as merging the two facilities together to form one primary school being mooted.
Speaking at Tuesday's meeting of Tenby Town Council, Clrs. Mrs. Caroline Thomas, David Morgan and Mike Evans said they had attended the meeting to discuss future proposals relating to the Infant and Junior Schools in Heywood Lane.
The reorganisation of the Tenby Family of Schools is included in the county council's 21st Century Schools programme submitted to the Welsh Government last year.
Clr. Morgan explained that the majority of people in attendance at the consultations didn't seem in favour of the suggestion to combine the two schools to form one primary school, and that the idea of having a primary school and Welsh medium school seemed to be the most popular proposal.
A report on the reorganisation will be considered by the county council's cabinet at its meeting on Monday, February 6.
