Last Friday, a group of children from Stepaside CP School made use of the research facilities at Tenby Museum and Art Gallery.
Along with their teachers, Mrs. Tully and Mr. Griffiths, the group looked into the history of railways in Pembrokeshire, with particular emphasis on the Tenby - Pembroke railway.
A railway group at the school have created a model railway and they wished to decorate it with historical detail.
They spent their time looking at books, old photographs and postcards as well as authentic contemporary documents.
It is planned that the school undertakes such research at the museum for a further two weeks.
If any schools are interested in using the research material at Tenby Museum and Art Gallery, then please do get in touch. The telephone number is (01834) 842809.
The museum is always happy to assist with any project and the use of the facility is free.
