Youngsters at Monkton Primary School have designed posters to remind people to wear seatbelts. The competition was run by the Pembroke Neighbourhood Policing team after officers noticed many of the children and the parents were not wearing seatbelts on the school run. PCSO Kelly MacKay said: "We expressed the importance of wearing seatbelts to the pupils of the school through a short presentation. "We then invited all of the children from the school to take part in a competition to design an A4 poster to promote wearing seatbelts and their importance. "There was a fantastic range of designs from all the children, and they had obviously worked very hard." The overall winner of the competition was Antonio Price from Year Three. The other winners were; Jake Watson, Autumn Golding, Leoni Beard, Kitty Tindall, Chloe Dilworth, Katie Boyle, Jack John, Lucy Mottram, Lewys Gibby, Ellie Griffiths and Lewis Worral. They won prizes kindly donated by local businesses. The posters will now be displayed at the school, local youth clubs and local shops.
