School governors from across the county are invited to the annual general meeting of the Pembrokeshire Federation of Governing Bodies on Monday, February 9, at 7 pm, at County Hall, Haverfordwest.
There are vacancies on the committee and it is hoped that a few more governors will want to join. After formal business, there will be informal discussion with those who represented Pembrokeshire governors during the past year.
Pat James has attended meetings of the Health Promoting Schools steering group; Mike Brew is a member of the new Pembrokeshire Schools' Forum, which deals with budget issues; and Maggie Thomas is a member of the Governors Wales management committee.
Governors will be invited to contribute ideas for Federation activities in the next year and Ann Robertson, development officer from Governors Wales, will share how local governors' associations work in other areas. There are over 80 governing bodies in the county and the committee is hoping that all of them will be represented at the meeting.
