Members from across the local community came together recently to give Orielton School an end of year spring clean. The school council wrote to Valero, Pembroke Refinery, for assistance, who sent in their team of Valero volunteers. Pupils, past and present, school staff, governors and parents worked alongside the Valero volunteers to give the school's outdoor areas a tidy up and lick of paint. Ceris Hay, higher level teaching assistant, said: "Orielton School has really strong community links; I would like to say a big thank you to Valero for its continued support of our school. The local farming community always comes up trumps when we have work like this to do too, so another big thank you to Dave Llewellyn for bringing his tractor and trailer along. The children are thrilled with the results and can't wait to come back in September."
