Sir, May I through the columns of your 'paper, ask the local residents and businesses to help Tenby Junior School in recycling used printer cartridges. We have recently joined the Cartridge Recycling Centre scheme, which enables us to collect eligible used computer printer cartridges (toner and inkjet) for recycling and raise money for the school. As well as raising funds for the school, the scheme has obvious environmental benefits through recycling and also teaching our children the value of recycling. You may be aware that to manufacture a new toner cartridge uses over 1.5 litres of oil which, given the current situation with predicted oil shortages in the coming years, it makes a lot of sense to consider recycling. Any used cartridges may be dropped off at the school. We hope you will choose to help the school in our endeavours.
