Parents of children due to start primary school next year are reminded that they need to submit their written applications for a school place soon.
The deadline for written applications for pupils due to start school in 2010 is April 30 this year.
Applying in writing by this date will improve the chance of a child getting a place at the parents' preferred school.
If there are more admission applications than places available at the requested school, applications submitted in writing before the deadline will be considered before late applications or verbal requests.
