Entries are still arriving for the Preseli Bluestone Run which will take place on Sunday, June 12, in aid of the British Heart Foundation in this its 50th anniversary year.
This event is being organised by Jeff and Sian Edwards, the founders and organisers of the popular Western Telegraph Pembrokeshire County Run, due to Jeff's continued serious cardiac illness.
This event both starting and finishing at Bluestone near Narberth is a motoring tour of about 55 miles over the Preseli Hills, famous for its Preseli Bluestone of Stonehenge fame.
It will give all entries the opportunity of passing through villages with such legendary names as Bethlehem and Woodstock! They will then follow a route around the Bluestone countryside at the foot of the hills on their return to the finish line at Bluestone.
Vehicles of all ages will be taking part, including an all electric Nissan from Wessex Garages, of Cardiff, who are taking part not only to support the BHF, but also to test this vehicle over the hilly terrain of the Preseli Hills!
Refreshments will be available at the start line and Bluestone are also offering special deals to all who enter to their Blue Lagoon and Spa. Entries will also be able to visit the Bluestone Village and sample the restaurants there.
Western Telegraph programmes will also be available in aid of the BHF and Preseli Bluestone Ltd., from Oxford have also donated a heart made from polished Preseli Bluestone from the Preseli Hills similar to the same stone that was used in Stonehenge. This beautiful heart in its display case will be raffled on the day to all entrants and spectators in aid of the BHF.
This event, which is open to all types of vintage, classic, kit and specialised motor vehicles and motorbikes. Due to this event being a fun raiser for the BHF,there will be an entry charge of just £5 per entry. In return for this, all entries will receive a Preseli Bluestone rally board and a BHF certificate.
Entries will be accepted up to and on the day, with entries arriving at Bluestone no later then 9.30 am.
