Tomorrow (Saturday), Tenby Golf Club will host a reception for visiting golfers from throughout the UK to announce the beginning of their 32nd consecutive annual Open Week.
Visitors will be welcomed to the town by the Mayor of Tenby and to the club by the captain, John Gillespie, who will give details of the golf and social events.
It promises to be a memorable occasion, with a number of new faces and many regular supporters enjoying the opportunity to meet with fellow competitors who have become friends over the years. Background music will be provided by the talented young local harpist Isobel Harries.
Throughout the week from Sunday to Friday, greenkeepers will be working from first light to prepare the course for timed starts scheduled from 7.30 am until 3 pm.
General play for members not entering the competitions will be open from 3.30 pm, although priority on the course will be given to competitors.
