When the Mayor of Tenby, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, failed to get one of the Help for Heroes flags to fly in the town after reading about the appeal in The Sun, she didn't despair.

Instead, wearing her Tenby in Bloom president and chairman hats, she came up with the idea of 'saying it with flowers'!

And so with the help of Pembrokeshire County Council gardeners, the Help for Heroes motif has been created in flowers at the War Memorial gardens.

The blooms were purchased with funds raised by Tenby in Bloom, while they were kindly planted by the county council gardeners who have also been helping get the town ready for Wales in Bloom judging next week.
