A rally will be held this month against the downgrading of Withybush Hospital - as the people of Pembrokeshire say no the closure of the facility’s A&E.

The ‘Save Withybush’ rally is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, February 23, from 11 am to 1 pm, outside the hospital (not on its land).

“We are rallying to send a message to Hywel Dda Health Board, who plan to downgrade Withybush to a community hospital, removing A&E in the process,” campaigners have stated.

“They have already removed a number of services and have been using the pandemic time to continue with their schemes.

“It is not our intention to disrupt the hospital, staff or patients. Everyone is welcome to the rally, but it will be non-political. We are requesting that people do not bring political party banners/placards. This rally is to demonstrate our support of our hospital and staff

“Make and bring your own placards and banners. Please remember that you will be responsible for your own children, throughout the event,” they added.
