Potholes and road cracks around the village of Saundersfoot have been addressed.
County councillor for the seaside village’s south ward Cllr Chris Williams said that over the winter period he had received numerous calls regarding potholes and other defects surrounding the roads in and around the locality.
“The majority of potholes have now been filled in around the village,” he said.
“The condition of the road on Milford Terrace, High Street was in really poor condition with it breaking up over many areas.
“At the start of the month this was stripped and new tarmac was laid to now give the village a fantastic surface on the areas mentioned previously.
“The team did this over two nights and under supervision of Mr Colwyn Harts at Pembrokeshire County Council who did a great job.
“After meeting PCC on the High Street we had a site meeting on Church Terrace and further up heading to Whitlow estate.
“It was agreed that Church Terrace would be done the same time as High Street and then they would look at the B4316. This was completed with numerous potholes and cracks stripped and filled in. This was then given a top dressing that is a vast improvement,” continued Cllr Williams.
Further works were carried out on Francis Road as well as potholes on Fan Road, with Cllr Williams stating that he was still chasing a ‘few small ones’ around the village, with the plan for these to be attended to as quickly as possible.
