A trio of bowlers from Saundersfoot won Tenby Bowling Club's annual mixed triples tournament on Saturday.
The tournament, sponsored by Charles Birt and Co and the Giltar Hotel, followed the usual format of a round robin where points mattered rather than wins.
There were four sections, with the top shots scoring group in each section going through to the semi-finals.
Bowling was once again of a high standard throughout the three-day event, and a great deal of enjoyment was had by all.
Even the miserable weather conditions, which saw the semi-finals being played in pouring rain and the finals taking place at Heatherton indoor stadium after the green became flooded, failed to dampen the spirits of all involved.
The tournament winners were Nora Crocker, Ken Taylor and Shirley Spiller, who beat Phyllis Phillips, Mair Evans and Rod Phillips, of Carmarthen, 11-7 in the final.
Flying the flag for Tenby were Helen Baggott, Audrey Owens and John Baggott, who took third place after defeating Peter Grasso, Ron Thomas and Margaret Kerswell 17-4.
At the presentation ceremony, Tenby club president Lewis Hilling gave a vote of thanks to the sponsors, the organisers Tony Lamb and Colin Hill, and the ladies of the club for all their help. He also congratulated all the competitors for an excellent tournament.
