The footpath between Wiseman’s Bridge and Coppet Hall is back open this morning (July 13) after a temporary closure on Sunday, due to another rock fall.
Dyfed-Powys Police shared on Sunday afternoon (July 12) that the popular coastal path connecting the neighbouring seaside villages of Saundersfoot and Wiseman’s Bridge, was off limits due to a further landslip, with the police stating: “Please be patient and take an alternative route if possible or plan extra time into your journey.”
Pembrokeshire County Council also stated: “The Dramway footpath between Wiseman’s Bridge and Coppet Hall has had to be closed due to a rock fall. Please take care in the area.”
Extensive work took place last year to get the walkway back open before the summer holidays, after the coastal path connecting connecting neighbouring seaside villages Saundersfoot and Wisemans Bridge was closed once again at the start of 2025 after a number of landslips occurred.

The coastal path, known as the Tramway, was previously closed after it experienced ‘substantial rock falls’ in late 2023 and early 2024.
Amroth Community Council gave an update on Monday morning, sharing: “The footpath between Wisemans Bridge and Coppet Hall is open this morning ( Monday, July 13) following the rock fall yesterday. A geologist will be inspecting the cliff in case safety work is needed.”
