The Sladen Swimming Relays are organised on a regional level with the winners qualifying for the national finals. After winning the Dyfed Gala, the Saundersfoot girls team travelled to Brecon to represent the county in the finals. The girls team was made up of Anna Morgan, Mia Webber, Jess Wainwright and Ffion Davies. The girls comfortably won their heat to qualify for the grand final, which was a nail-biting race, with Saundersfoot and Llanidloes being awarded equal fastest times. Llanidloes were, however, fairly given first place on the touch! Despite this, the girls did extremely well to come second out of all the primary schools in Wales. The Saundersfoot boys team also qualified to compete in the finals in Brecon after coming second in the Dyfed competition to local rivals St. Oswalds. The team, made up of Henrik Jakola, Adam Muskett, Dan Davies and Jack Parkinson, also won their heat to qualify for the finals, as did St. Oswalds. This time, Llanidloes won the final comfortably, with St. Oswalds coming second, closely followed by Saundersfoot.
