Hebron Baptist Church
Last Sunday, Mr. Anthony Standing gave a warm welcome to visitors and church family who had returned after illness. The speaker Rev. Terry Broadhurst from Bromsgrove read from Revelation 4v and 5v. Miss Helen Standing was the pianist and Mrs. Janet Roberts was the welcome steward.
The current illustrated series, 'People who met Jesus', this week focussed on the disciples.
Rev. Broadhurst turned to 'the Grand Finale', the book of Revelation for his message. Having just celebrated Jesus birth, this book look forward to the time when Jesus will return.
Although there are some warnings this is a book of hope to be assured that God is in control. John wrote of his visions to encourage the church at a time when the Romans were overpowering them. This book reminded them and reminds us that there will be another world which is too awesome for us to comprehend now.
God is Sovereign, and as we read Revelation we glimpse his Majesty and Authority. By comparison we see all our hopes, plans, problems, sickness and ultimate physical death as insignificant. We do feel the turmoil of the world around us, but for those who put their trust in the Saviour, we can have hope in God that He will bring us out the other side.
On Sunday at 11 am, the speaker will be Rev. Anne Rendell. Young people will have their own activities in the hall during the message. Tuesday Club meets at 6.30 pm at The Poppies. You will be warmly welcomed to the services and activities. For more information, call 811697 or visit http://www.hebronbaptistsaundersfoot.org.uk">www.hebronbaptistsaundersfoot.org.uk

METHODIST
CHURCH
Due to the illness of the appointed preacher, a Readers Service was taken by members on Sunday. Be still and know that I am God, was the message.
When God spoke to the prophet on Mount Sinai, it was not in the wind, the lightning or the thunder that he came to him, but in the still small voice. We should set some time aside daily to be with God and listen for his voice.
This Sunday morning at 11 am it will be the annual Covenant Service when we renew our promises to God. It will be taken by Rev. David Murfin. All are welcome.
